Patti - I always appreciate this summing up - and the terrific contributions. Now if only my TBR pile weren't so big..... *sigh*

It was a blast from the past to read Paul Bishop's review of MURDER AT THE WORLD CUP because my husband (a big sports fan) read a number of those MURDER AT THE [BIG SPORTING EVENT] books written (excuse me, co-written) by Herb Resnicow back in the day. Resnicow had a cottage industry of co-writing the books with a major athlete in the sport of the murder. After he read MURDER AT THE SUPERBOWL, which was co-written by Resnicow and football star Fran Tarkenton, my husband quipped, "I suspect the only writing Fran contributed to that book was his signature when he signed the contract."

My pile is bigger than yours, Margot. Oh, the guilt.
Sometimes you wonder if they even read the book, Deb. But this happens across the board I think. Politicians included.
